This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Deliver specialized telephonic, individualized coaching to assist callers in transitioning between psychological health care providers or starting psychological health care treatment.
• Promote ongoing engagement with psychological health care and encourage participation in care seeking and maintenance activities.
• Employ motivational interviewing, barrier identification, task planning, information sharing, and caller education during regular telephonic interactions.
• Utilize de-escalation techniques when necessary to ensure a positive experience for the provider.
• Keep accurate records of interactions to guide future support strategies.
• Remain informed about platform features and product updates to provide accurate assistance.
• Identify, monitor, report, and resolve calls and issues promptly.
• Maintain thorough tracking and documentation of identified issues until resolution.
• Perform additional duties aligned with education and experience.
• Ensure regular and dependable attendance.
• Operate within a standard remote environment, utilizing a computer and potentially a headset.
• Must be an actively Licensed Mental Health Professional in social work, psychology, marriage and family therapy, or behavioral health counseling.
• Hold a Master’s Degree.
• Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience providing face-to-face health care.
• Demonstrated clinical expertise in triage, care management, motivational interviewing, and crisis counseling.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Capable of passing a favorable interim and adjudicated final Department of Defense (DoD) background investigation.
• Technologically adept with experience in navigating multiple screens or web browsers simultaneously.
• Proven ability to work independently in a remote work setting.
• Proficient in English, both spoken and written.
• Strong data entry skills.
• Ability to resolve complex problems involving concepts, policies, and procedures.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex issues.
• Skilled in de-escalating situations and providing customer service under pressure.
• Proficient in using motivational interviewing techniques.
• Capable of solving problems through systematic analysis and sound judgment.
• Ability to effectively understand and manage crisis and potentially abusive calls.
• Strong organizational skills for managing people or tasks, adjusting to priorities, and learning systems within time constraints.
• Detail-oriented.
• Ability to prioritize and manage tasks amid changing deadlines and requirements in a high-volume, high-stress environment.
• Proficient in managing complex information, communicating it clearly, and drawing sound conclusions.
• Demonstrates critical thinking and self-initiative.
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with multiple simultaneous activities.
• Exhibits customer-focused behavior, listening skills, professionalism, patience, respect, and empathy.
• Displays resiliency and flexibility when adapting to diverse situations and individuals.
• Capable of controlling call pace and flow while managing call time effectively.
• Proficient in functioning within a multi-system Microsoft environment using Word, Outlook, TriWest Intranet, internet, and other departmental software.
• Ability to adhere to established policies and procedures.
