Member Service Representative, Roadside Assistance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Report directly to the Supervisor of Member Rescue.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for members reaching out for roadside assistance.

• Handle a high volume of incoming roadside assistance calls.

• Accurately and thoroughly document member information.

• Identify the locations of calls and assign them appropriately.

• Utilize geographical knowledge to efficiently process road service requests.

• Assess the necessary support for priority calls.

• Stay updated on AMA products, services, Roadside Assistance services, and associated systems.

• Familiarize yourself with AMA membership options and inform members about their coverage and costs.

• Be prepared to work varied shifts, particularly during evenings and weekends, while sitting for prolonged periods.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum commitment of 16 hours per week and availability across at least four days, including one weekend day.

• Open availability for shifts scheduled between 6:00 AM and 11:00 PM, seven days a week.

• Must be available during early mornings, evenings, weekends, and Statutory Holidays.

• Willingness to attend all training sessions Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, for up to four weeks.

• Availability for onsite equipment collection.

• A private, secure, and dedicated home office space that is free from distractions.

• Access to stable, high-speed internet.

• Possession of an Apple or Android smartphone for two-factor authentication.

• Ability to successfully pass a Canadian Criminal Record Check.

• High school diploma required.

• Prior customer service experience, ideally in a call center setting.

• Excellent communication skills, telephone etiquette, and professionalism.

• Proficient in computer use and comfortable with learning new applications and systems.

• Experience with mapping software is a plus.

• Capability to sit for extended durations.
