This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.
• Create and develop high-performing, scalable software for training models.
• Build tools that enhance and expedite research and LLM training processes.
• Collaborate with teams in Infrastructure, Efficiency, Serving, and scientific areas including Agent, Multimodal, and Multilingual.
• Investigate, implement, and test innovative concepts related to cluster and data infrastructure.
• Partner with scientists, engineers, and other teams to drive projects forward.
• Engage with production systems and experiment with cutting-edge models.
• Design experiments and create documentation for scalable, production-ready solutions.
• Exceptional software engineering abilities.
• Commitment to test-driven development, clean coding practices, and minimizing technical debt.
• Expertise in Python programming.
• Proficient with ML frameworks such as JAX, PyTorch, and/or XLA/MLIR.
• Familiarity with large-scale distributed training strategies, including memory and speed profiling.
• Experience with distributed training infrastructure like Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of related frameworks such as Ray.
• Background in ML and LLM academic research.
• A strong passion for delivering high-quality work.
• Comfortable with tuning and optimizing large LLM models.
• Able to collaborate with individuals of varying software engineering skill levels.
• Skilled at navigating complex ML codebases to identify and resolve challenges.
• Capable of thriving in a fast-paced and technically demanding environment.
