This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska, +4 more states.
• Deliver outstanding service to Credit Union members through various channels including phone, email, web, mail, and facsimile.
• Handle deposits and withdrawals, assess account information and credit/card transactions, process loan payments, and offer fundamental online banking assistance.
• Assist in promoting the Credit Union's deposit and lending products while striving to meet established cross-sell targets.
• Ensure efficient and prompt member service transactions while maintaining quality and accuracy.
• Engage with members to identify their needs, propose solutions, and follow up on any pending transactions.
• Suggest additional products and services, including supplementary offerings.
• Open new Member Accounts, including Savings, Checking, Money Market, Trust, Certificates, and IRA accounts.
• Complete necessary account forms and agreements.
• Conduct account maintenance tasks such as updating addresses and names, changing ownership and beneficiaries, closing accounts, handling deceased accounts, and providing notary services.
• Recognize and report any suspicious behavior or potential fraud activity.
• Fulfill required training and compliance modules.
• Engage in and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Uphold confidentiality regarding member and sensitive information.
• Represent the Credit Union in a positive and professional manner.
• Perform additional related duties as necessary.
• Minimum of 1 year of retail experience with a demonstrated ability to meet or exceed service and sales objectives.
• Basic knowledge of financial products and services.
• Professional verbal communication skills and etiquette.
• Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft applications (Word, Outlook, and Excel), remote signing capabilities, and the ability to operate a webcam.
• Strong follow-up skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to listen, understand, and anticipate member needs effectively.
• Proficient written communication skills (Email) with a focus on grammar and spelling.
• Strong member service and organizational capabilities.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with other departments – Team player.
• Genuine interest in assisting members through meaningful conversations, with an empathetic and caring disposition.
