This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Coordinate and manage patient scheduling for healthcare providers, including Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs) and physicians.
• Arrange visits, particularly face-to-face compliance visits, adhering to strict Medicare and Medicaid regulations.
• Collaborate closely with affiliate medical directors to ensure that medical staff productivity targets are achieved.
• Reach out to patients and their families to arrange visits from medical staff.
• Represent the Company in a professional manner through the care provided and services rendered to clients.
• Adhere to state, federal, and local regulations along with Company policies and practices.
• Maintain the confidentiality of patients, families, colleagues, and sensitive situations.
• Engage in performance improvement, quality assurance, research, educational, and community initiatives.
• Share knowledge with colleagues and enhance electronic media skills.
• A college degree or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in the healthcare sector.
• Previous experience in a contact call center environment and/or scheduling for medical staff and/or clinical patient care.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and scheduling software.
• Strong Excel skills, including data entry, formatting, filtering, sorting, worksheet/formula creation and management, as well as data analysis.
• Proficient in Microsoft Teams.
• Prior experience in hospice care.
• Solid understanding of medical terminology, preferably related to hospice.
• Capability to perform sedentary tasks with frequent interruptions.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively to meet scheduling deadlines.
• Ability to manage stressful situations with professionalism and composure.
• Skills in patient scheduling and effective communication.
• Strong information-seeking and probing abilities.
• Accurate knowledge transfer skills.
• Proficient listening, understanding, and responding skills.
• Ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
• Capacity to work collaboratively in a team setting.
• Ability to operate under moderate supervision, exercising discretion and independent judgment.
• Competence in computer operations, Microsoft Office software, data entry, and navigation skills.
• Must successfully complete all competency requirements for the role.
• Agreement to drug and/or alcohol testing following a conditional job offer and ongoing compliance with the Drug-Free Workplace Policy.
• Eligibility through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse after a conditional offer and continuous eligibility.
• Drug and/or alcohol testing consent and ongoing adherence to the Drug-Free Workplace Policy.
