Medical Science Liaison – Senior Medical Science Liaison

📋 Description

• Act as a field-based scientific authority, facilitating interactions with healthcare professionals, investigators, treatment centers, and key opinion leaders (KOLs) specializing in autoimmune diseases and cell therapy.

• Identify, develop, and sustain scientific relationships with KOLs, investigators, academic medical institutions, physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and treatment facilities.

• Deliver fair-balanced, precise, and compliant scientific exchanges regarding disease states, treatment landscapes, Kyverna’s CAR-T programs, and relevant emerging clinical data.

• Serve as a scientific liaison for investigators interested in clinical research collaborations and discussions on investigator-initiated research.

• Create and implement geography-specific Medical Affairs and KOL engagement strategies.

• Manage the assigned territory through stakeholder mapping, prioritization, and proactive planning.

• Collaborate with field medical colleagues to align external engagement strategies.

• Support Kyverna-sponsored clinical trials by identifying trial sites, engaging investigators, raising trial awareness, and facilitating scientific dialogue.

• Contribute to efforts regarding trial feasibility and participant enrollment.

• Gather and share medical insights related to autoimmune diseases and cell therapy landscapes.

• Convert external scientific viewpoints into actionable insights for medical, clinical, and developmental decisions.

• Work in conjunction with Clinical Development, Clinical Operations, Regulatory Affairs, Commercial, Market Access, and Patient Services teams while adhering to non-promotional guidelines.

• Offer scientific support during congresses, advisory boards, investigator meetings, and medical education forums.

• Responsively and compliantly address unsolicited medical information inquiries.

• Keep updated with therapeutic areas, treatment guidelines, clinical research methodologies, cell therapy operations, and treatment center workflows.

• Complete CRM documentation, administrative duties, mandatory training, and pharmacovigilance responsibilities, including adverse event and product complaint reporting.

• Conduct activities in accordance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.


⛳️ Requirements

• An advanced scientific or clinical degree is required (MD, PharmD, PhD, DNP, NP, PA, or equivalent).

• For MSL: Doctorate degree or Master's degree coupled with 3 years of Medical Affairs experience.

• For Senior MSL: Doctorate degree and 2 years of Medical Affairs experience or Master's degree and 6 years of Medical Affairs experience.

• Prior experience in cell therapy, CAR-T, immunology, rheumatology, nephrology, neurology, hematology/oncology, or rare diseases is highly preferred.

• Strong comprehension of clinical trial design, clinical development, and medical affairs operations.

• Experience engaging with academic medical centers, specialty treatment facilities, and/or infusion centers is preferred.

• Capability to interpret and convey complex scientific and clinical information to varied audiences.

• Exceptional presentation, communication, and interpersonal abilities.

• Proven track record of establishing strong external relationships and collaborating effectively across cross-functional teams.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth biotechnology setting.

• Willingness and ability to travel extensively within the designated geography.

• Experience in supporting pre-commercial or launch-stage biotechnology organizations.

• Knowledge of autoimmune disease treatment landscapes and emerging cell therapy methodologies.

• Experience assisting with investigator-sponsored research and initiatives for clinical trial recruitment.

• Familiarity with cell therapy operational concepts, including chain of identity, chain of custody, and treatment facility workflows.
