Medical Science Liaison, Rheumatology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Create and execute a scientific engagement strategy for the Georgia/North Florida region

• Build relationships with community and academic thought leaders/KOLs

• Facilitate high-quality, reciprocal scientific discussions with healthcare professionals

• Gather, integrate, and utilize clinical, scientific, competitive, and territory-specific information

• Utilize AI tools and insights to enhance decision-making, processes, efficiency, and outcomes

• Track competitor activities and integrate evidence-based clinical context into engagement strategies

• Present scientific data through discussions and presentations customized to HCP requirements

• Identify challenges and unmet needs, proposing evidence-based solutions or educational programs

• Provide actionable insights that align with organizational goals

• Address unsolicited inquiries regarding J&J products and research

• Assist investigators and internal partners with company-sponsored and investigator-initiated studies

• Collaborate with MSL partners, R&D, Medical Affairs, Clinical Operations, Sales, and Marketing teams

• Maintain scientific expertise through self-directed study, journal clubs, seminars, congresses, and peer interactions

• Promote inclusion and belonging within the organization

• Adhere to regulatory, healthcare compliance, corporate conduct, Medical Affairs SOPs, and related guidelines

• Establish a performance and development plan in conjunction with the Field Director

• Accurately and compliantly complete administrative documentation and expense reports

⛳️ Requirements

• A Doctorate-level degree or equivalent experience is mandatory (PharmD, PhD, MD, Advanced Practice Providers)

• Doctoral candidates must possess postgraduate experience

• Extensive scientific and/or therapeutic knowledge is required

• Familiarity with research and/or healthcare systems

• Expertise in data collection and analysis, clinical knowledge, problem-solving, interpersonal influence, cross-functional collaboration, strategic thinking, and competitive landscape analysis

• Ability to serve a specific territory with up to 70% travel

• A valid US Driver’s License is required

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in an MSL role

• At least 2 years of experience in a therapeutic area is preferred

• Residency or fellowship experience is preferred

• Board certification for clinical degrees is preferred

• Proven commitment to learning about emerging technologies, including AI
