Medical Science Liaison, Oncology Lung-Head & Neck

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Formulate and execute a scientific engagement strategy for the designated territory in alignment with Medical Affairs objectives and medical goals.

• Build and nurture professional connections with community and academic opinion leaders/KOLs.

• Participate in meaningful, two-way scientific discussions with healthcare professionals.

• Gather, synthesize, and utilize clinical, scientific, competitive, and territory-specific information.

• Utilize AI tools and insights to enhance decision-making, processes, efficiency, and outcomes.

• Stay informed about competitors and integrate evidence-based clinical context into engagement strategies.

• Present scientific data through tailored dialogues and presentations that meet the needs of healthcare professionals.

• Identify challenges and unmet needs while proposing evidence-based solutions or educational initiatives.

• Provide actionable insights that align with organizational priorities to guide medical strategy and cross-functional discussions.

• Address unsolicited inquiries regarding Johnson & Johnson products and research.

• Assist investigators and internal partners involved in company-sponsored and investigator-initiated studies.

• Work collaboratively with MSL field partners, R&D, U.S. and Global Medical Affairs, Clinical Operations, Sales, and Marketing teams.

• Enhance scientific knowledge through self-study, journal clubs, educational seminars, congresses, and peer interactions.

• Promote inclusion and belonging both internally and externally.

• Maintain proficiency in regulatory and healthcare compliance, corporate conduct, and Medical Affairs policies.

• Create and execute a performance and development plan in conjunction with the Field Director.

• Accurately and compliantly fulfill administrative tasks, documentation of activities, and expense reporting.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Doctorate level degree or equivalent experience is mandatory (PharmD, PhD, MD, Advanced Practice Providers).

• Postgraduate experience is necessary for candidates with a Doctoral degree.

• Extensive scientific and/or therapeutic knowledge is required.

• Knowledge of research and/or the healthcare system is essential.

• Proficient in data collection and analysis, clinical expertise, problem-solving, interpersonal influence, cross-functional collaboration, strategic thinking, and competitive landscape analysis.

• Must be able to support a specific territory with up to 70% travel, including in-territory travel, internal meetings, and congresses.

• A valid U.S. Driver’s License is required.

• Preferred: 2+ years of relevant experience, ideally in an MSL role.

• Preferred: 2+ years of experience in a therapeutic area.

• Residency/fellowship experience is preferred.

• Board certification for clinical degrees is preferred.

• Demonstrated commitment to learning about emerging technologies, including AI.
