Medical Science Liaison, NMOSD & gMG-Rare Disease

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Assist the MSL TA head and local TA lead in formulating local territory R&D strategies.

• Convey precise, clear, and valuable information about Amgen's science and products to the medical community.

• Provide field insights to internal stakeholders.

• Collaborate with healthcare partners to disseminate and discuss clinical and scientific information.

• Educate payers, providers, key partners, advocacy groups, and access facilitators on clinical value, outcomes, and economic data.

• Address unsolicited inquiries in compliance with MSL standards.

• Present field observations and insights to internal teams.

• Execute a scientific engagement strategy in line with annual MSL objectives and metrics.

• Create and implement local OL strategies.

• Facilitate speaker training and ensure speakers are informed of new data.

• Support Amgen-sponsored research and may take on the role of study lead.

• Connect with potential investigators for non-sponsored clinical research.

• Lead or take part in project teams that support MSL strategies and initiatives.

• Oversee and assist with congress-related activities.

• Work collaboratively and compliantly with cross-functional colleagues, potentially acting as the primary contact.

• Maintain clinical knowledge and expertise while completing required training.

• May serve as a training lead, New Hire Mentor, and/or International MSL mentor or trainer.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Doctorate degree, or a Master’s degree with 3 years of Medical Affairs experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of Medical Affairs experience.

• Preferred: PharmD, PhD, MD, or DO; other doctoral degrees will be considered.

• Preferred: At least two years of demonstrated experience in scientific or medical affairs within a biotech or pharmaceutical organization.

• Preferred: Three or more years of experience in clinical practice, clinical research, or medical research.

• Experience in a medically related field may involve post-doctoral training, residencies, and/or fellowships.

• Preferred: Expertise in the Rare Disease therapeutic area.

• Ability to support the territory of MD, DE, Washington DC, and Northern VA.
