Medical Science Liaison – Neurology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +7 more states.

📋 Description

• Build and nurture strategic scientific partnerships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), investigators, healthcare professionals, academic institutions, and professional organizations.

• Engage in peer-to-peer scientific discussions regarding disease states, diagnostic imaging, radiopharmaceuticals, clinical trial data, treatment guidelines, and emerging evidence.

• Address unsolicited requests for scientific and medical information with prompt, balanced, accurate, and evidence-based responses.

• Maintain an advanced level of scientific expertise through ongoing education, literature reviews, participation in congresses, and training opportunities.

• Collect, document, and share actionable medical insights and field intelligence.

• Identify and report on emerging scientific trends, treatment advancements, unmet medical needs, competitive intelligence, healthcare challenges, and evolving care standards.

• Guide Medical Affairs strategy, evidence-generation priorities, product lifecycle management, and research initiatives.

• Represent Medical Affairs at scientific congresses, meetings of professional societies, and educational conferences.

• Develop and implement engagement plans for congresses and facilitate compliant scientific discussions.

• Collect, analyze, and disseminate scientific updates, competitive intelligence, clinical data, and research findings.

• Prepare summaries of congresses and scientific debriefs.

• Identify investigators and clinical research sites; assist in feasibility assessments, site engagement, and evidence-generation initiatives.

• Support investigator-sponsored research, post-marketing studies, real-world evidence, and collaborative research initiatives.

• Deliver scientific and educational presentations to healthcare professionals and internal stakeholders.

• Assist in advisory boards, speaker development, educational initiatives, scientific roundtables, and medical education programs.

• Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Commercial, Regulatory Affairs, Market Access, Pharmacovigilance, Health Economics, Professional Promotions, and other partners.

• Provide scientific expertise to support product launches, lifecycle management, publication planning, evidence generation, and strategic initiatives.

• Adhere to pharmacovigilance procedures, applicable regulations, company policies, and ethical standards.

• Document scientific interactions, field medical activities, and medical insights using approved systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• A PhD, PharmD, MD, DO, or an equivalent advanced scientific or clinical degree is required.

• A minimum of two years of experience in Medical Science Liaison or Medical Affairs is preferred.

• Clinical or scientific experience in the therapeutic area, nuclear medicine, radiopharmaceuticals, molecular imaging, or diagnostic imaging is preferred.

• A demonstrated understanding of current and emerging trends in the therapeutic area, radiopharmaceuticals, precision medicine, and diagnostic imaging.

• Strong scientific acumen with the ability to critically assess and communicate complex clinical and scientific information.

• Proven capability to build and maintain credible scientific relationships with healthcare professionals and external experts.

• Demonstrated leadership within cross-functional teams and the ability to collaborate across various business functions.

• Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Highly organized with the capacity to manage multiple priorities independently.

• Strong analytical thinking, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.

• Advanced knowledge in the therapeutic area, radiopharmaceuticals, molecular imaging, and precision medicine.

• Familiarity with key clinical publications, treatment guidelines, and evolving scientific literature.

• Comprehensive understanding of clinical trial design, clinical development, and evidence generation.

• Knowledge of investigator-sponsored research, real-world evidence, and post-marketing research practices.

• Understanding of pharmacoeconomic principles and healthcare value evidence.

• Advanced knowledge of the U.S. healthcare system, reimbursement landscape, and medical imaging industry.

• Experience in supporting scientific congresses and advisory boards.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM/documentation platforms.

• Willingness to travel approximately 70% within the assigned geographic area.
