📋 Description

• Act as a key scientific and clinical resource for Opinion Leaders, local healthcare providers, and Population Health Decision Makers.

• Implement Amgen's Medical and product strategy through precise, balanced, and scientifically credible communication.

• Engage with provider segments in Pulmonology, Allergy, ENT, and Gastroenterology.

• Prioritize engagements based on local patient pathways, referral networks, scientific opportunities, and readiness for indication expansion.

• Facilitate peer-to-peer interactions with stakeholders in Respiratory, Gastroenterology, and product-indication expansion.

• Manage the Southern California and West/Central Arizona regions.

• Collaborate with clinical investigators and sites to support the therapeutic area pipeline.

• Convey clinical value, outcomes, and economic data to Population Health Decision Makers.

• Connect external and internal stakeholders to enhance Amgen’s outreach and patient access.

• Conduct thorough scientific exchanges that align with MSL compliance standards.

• Support Amgen-sponsored research and potentially take on the role of study lead.

• Liaise with prospective investigators in non-sponsored clinical research.

• Provide field insights and observations to internal stakeholders to shape Amgen strategies.

• Lead and assist in congress activities.

• Support speaker training and ensure speakers are informed of the latest data.

• Lead or contribute to project teams that support MSL strategies and tactics.

• Collaborate compliantly across Amgen field roles to create a unified One Amgen experience.

• Handle administrative tasks and training, including Veeva/ALIGN CRM, expense reports, and compliance modules.

• Continuously enhance clinical/scientific knowledge and expertise with up-to-date data, information, and healthcare trends.


⛳️ Requirements

• Doctorate degree OR a Master’s degree with 3 years of Medical Affairs experience OR a Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of Medical Affairs experience.

• Preferred: Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D., or D.O. (other doctoral degrees may be considered).

• Preferred: At least 1 year of experience in Medical Affairs.

• Preferred: 4 or more years in a medically related field, including 1 year focused on clinical practice, clinical research, or medical research.

• Experience in a medically related field may include post-doctoral training (e.g., residencies and/or fellowships).

• Current experience in Scientific Affairs or Medical Affairs within a biotech or pharmaceutical company.

• Expertise in Respiratory and/or Immunology.

• Familiarity with the designated territory.

• Willingness to travel 60-70% for territory management, provider engagement, conferences/workshops, and company meetings.

• Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders.

• Exceptional communication skills to effectively convey scientific data.

• Proficient in managing administrative tasks and training, including Veeva/ALIGN CRM, expense reports, and compliance modules, promptly.

• Stay updated on clinical/scientific knowledge, expertise, data/information, and healthcare trends.
