This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
β’ Design and execute a scientific engagement strategy for the Central California region that aligns with the objectives of Medical Affairs.
β’ Build and nurture professional relationships with community and academic opinion leaders/KOLs.
β’ Facilitate high-quality, interactive scientific discussions with healthcare professionals.
β’ Gather, analyze, and utilize clinical, scientific, competitive, and regional information.
β’ Utilize AI tools and insights to enhance decision-making, streamline processes, improve efficiency, and drive outcomes.
β’ Track competitor activities and integrate evidence-based clinical context into engagement strategies.
β’ Present scientific data customized to meet the needs of healthcare professionals through discussions and presentations.
β’ Identify challenges and unmet needs, and suggest evidence-based solutions or educational programs.
β’ Provide actionable insights that contribute to medical strategy and cross-functional dialogue.
β’ Address unsolicited inquiries regarding Johnson & Johnson products and research.
β’ Assist investigators and internal stakeholders with company-sponsored and investigator-initiated studies.
β’ Collaborate with Medical Affairs, R&D, U.S. and Global Medical Affairs, Clinical Operations, Sales, and Marketing teams.
β’ Keep up-to-date with scientific knowledge through self-study, journal clubs, seminars, conferences, and peer discussions.
β’ Promote inclusion and belonging both internally and externally.
β’ Stay informed about regulations, healthcare compliance, corporate conduct, and Medical Affairs SOPs.
β’ Create and execute a performance and development plan in conjunction with the Field Director.
β’ Accurately and compliantly complete administrative documentation and expense reports.
β’ A Doctorate-level degree or equivalent experience is mandatory (PharmD, PhD, MD, Advanced Practice Providers).
β’ Postgraduate experience is required for Doctoral-level candidates, preferably with clinical experience in a therapeutic area.
β’ Comprehensive scientific and/or therapeutic knowledge is necessary.
β’ Familiarity with research and/or the healthcare system is essential.
β’ Proficient in data collection and analysis, clinical expertise, problem-solving, interpersonal influence, cross-functional collaboration, strategic thinking, and competitive landscape analysis.
β’ Willingness to travel up to 70% within the territory and for internal meetings and conferences.
β’ A valid U.S. Driverβs License is required.
β’ A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is preferred, ideally in an MSL role.
β’ At least 2 years of experience in a therapeutic area is preferred.
β’ Completion of a residency or fellowship is preferred.
β’ Board certification for clinical degrees is preferred.
β’ A commitment to learning and implementing emerging technologies such as AI is essential.
