Medical Science Liaison, CARE

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain collaborations with key opinion leaders and external healthcare stakeholders within designated therapeutic areas and regions.

• Share scientific, medical, and technical knowledge with healthcare professionals, researchers, professional organizations, and formulary decision-makers.

• Initiate educational and research partnerships while identifying opportunities for clinical research and publication.

• Cultivate KOL relationships for advisory boards, company-sponsored and investigator-initiated research, as well as speaker development.

• Offer field insights and recognize opportunities for cross-functional collaboration.

• Provide scientific education and medical assistance to healthcare professionals and significant institutions.

• Represent Chiesi USA Medical Affairs at national, regional, and local scientific forums.

• Assist in clinical research projects, investigator-initiated trials, and collaborative efforts.

• Deliver medical education presentations in diverse environments.

• Collect and share competitive intelligence in line with company policies.

• Engage in internal therapeutic advisory groups and cross-functional initiatives.

• Contribute to clinical research, medical education materials, internal training, monthly medical meetings, journal clubs, and team discussions.

• Mentor and assist in onboarding new team members.

• Complete documentation for field activities, expense reports, administrative reports, and required training.

• Maintain expertise in assigned therapeutic areas along with professional licensing and certifications.

• Possession of a graduate-level degree such as PharmD, M.D., D.O., DNP, D.N.P., PhD, MSN, MS, or an equivalent healthcare professional qualification.

• Relevant clinical experience is essential.

• Completion of post-graduate residency training plus 1–2 years of MSL or clinically relevant experience in the therapeutic area; PhD candidates may qualify with the necessary experience.

• Proven scientific and clinical proficiency in the designated therapeutic area.

• Exceptional knowledge of clinical, pharmacoeconomic, HEOR, and real-world evidence, along with strong business acumen.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the capability to present complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences.

• Ability to provide scientifically accurate information to KOLs and healthcare professionals.

• Comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulations, compliance standards, and hospital credentialing procedures.

• Capacity to acquire and retain necessary hospital credentials.

• Successful completion of a drug screening, including testing for marijuana.

• Proven ability to work effectively within diverse, multidisciplinary teams.

• Strong planning, prioritization, and execution skills for multiple responsibilities with minimal oversight.

• Ability to uphold professional licensing and certifications.
