📋 Description

• Develop and execute a scientific engagement strategy for the Great Lakes region in alignment with Medical Affairs goals and medical objectives.

• Build and nurture professional relationships with key opinion leaders in both community and academic settings.

• Facilitate high-quality, two-way, non-promotional scientific discussions with healthcare professionals.

• Gather, synthesize, and utilize clinical, scientific, competitive, and territory-specific information.

• Utilize AI tools and insights to enhance decision-making, processes, efficiency, and outcomes.

• Stay informed about competitors and incorporate evidence-based clinical context into engagement strategies.

• Present scientific data through clear communication and presentations customized to the needs of healthcare providers.

• Identify challenges or unmet needs and propose evidence-based solutions or educational initiatives.

• Provide timely, actionable insights that inform medical strategy and cross-functional discussions.

• Address unsolicited inquiries regarding J&J products and research.

• Assist investigators and internal stakeholders with company-sponsored and investigator-initiated studies.

• Collaborate in compliance with Medical Affairs, R&D, Clinical Operations, Sales, Marketing, and other internal teams.

• Maintain scientific knowledge through self-study, journal clubs, seminars, congresses, and discussions with peers.

• Promote inclusion and belonging both internally and externally.

• Stay updated on regulatory, healthcare compliance, corporate conduct, Medical Affairs SOPs, and guidelines.

• Create a performance and development plan with the Field Director and contribute to leadership or enterprise initiatives.

• Accurately and compliantly complete administrative tasks, activity documentation, and expense reporting.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Doctorate level degree or equivalent experience is required (PharmD, PhD, MD, Advanced Practice Providers).

• Postgraduate experience is necessary for Doctoral level candidates, with a preference for clinical experience in a therapeutic area.

• Extensive scientific and/or therapeutic knowledge is essential.

• Familiarity with research and/or healthcare systems is required.

• Proficiency in data collection and analysis, clinical expertise, problem-solving, interpersonal influence, cross-functional collaboration, strategic thinking, and competitive landscape analysis.

• Must be able to support a specific territory with up to 70% travel, including in-territory travel, internal meetings, and congresses.

• A valid US Driver’s License is mandatory.

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in an MSL role, is preferred.

• At least 2 years of experience in a therapeutic area is preferred.

• Completion of a residency or fellowship is preferred.

• Board certification for clinical degrees is preferred.

• A demonstrated commitment to learning about emerging technologies such as AI is preferred.
