📋 Description

• Create and execute a scientific engagement strategy for the Great Lakes region that is aligned with the Medical Affairs objectives and goals.

• Build and nurture professional relationships with community and academic opinion leaders/KOLs.

• Facilitate high-quality, reciprocal scientific discussions with healthcare professionals.

• Gather, analyze, and utilize clinical, scientific, competitive, and territory-specific information.

• Utilize AI tools and insights to enhance decision-making, processes, efficiency, and outcomes.

• Stay informed about competitors and integrate evidence-based clinical context into engagement strategies.

• Present scientific data through tailored dialogues and presentations that meet the needs of healthcare professionals.

• Identify challenges or unmet needs and suggest evidence-based solutions or educational initiatives.

• Collect and provide actionable insights that inform medical strategy and facilitate cross-functional discussions.

• Address unsolicited inquiries regarding J&J products and research.

• Assist investigators and internal partners with both company-sponsored and investigator-initiated research studies.

• Work collaboratively with MSL field partners, R&D, Medical Affairs, Clinical Operations, Sales, and Marketing teams.

• Maintain scientific knowledge through self-study, journal clubs, seminars, congresses, and peer discussions.

• Promote inclusion and a sense of belonging within the team.

• Stay updated on regulatory, healthcare compliance, corporate standards, and Medical Affairs SOPs.

• Develop a performance and development plan in collaboration with the Field Director.

• Accurately complete administrative documentation and expense reporting in compliance with regulations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Doctorate-level degree or equivalent experience is mandatory (PharmD, PhD, MD, Advanced Practice Providers).

• Postgraduate experience is necessary for Doctoral candidates, with a preference for clinical experience in a therapeutic area.

• Extensive scientific and/or therapeutic knowledge is required.

• Familiarity with research and/or healthcare systems is essential.

• Strong skills in data gathering and analysis, clinical expertise, problem-solving, interpersonal influence, cross-functional collaboration, strategic thinking, and competitive landscape evaluation.

• Willingness to support a specific territory with up to 70% travel.

• A valid US Driver’s License is required.

• Over 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in an MSL role (preferred).

• More than 2 years of experience in a therapeutic area (preferred).

• Completion of a residency or fellowship (preferred).

• Board certification for clinical degrees is preferred.

• Proven commitment to learning about emerging technologies such as AI (preferred).
