This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Build and nurture robust relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) while supporting the scientific and clinical strategy for Orca Bio’s innovative allogeneic cell therapies.

• Act as a reliable scientific partner between Orca Bio and external healthcare providers, investigators, and other healthcare professionals within the assigned territory.

• Take an active role and contribute to Medical Affairs Strategic Objectives projects.

• Offer scientific insights related to stem cell transplantation, cell therapy, cellular immunotherapy, clinical operations, patient access, and the competitive landscape.

• Identify, cultivate, and sustain peer-to-peer relationships with academic experts, thought leaders, healthcare professionals, and access stakeholders.

• Develop and maintain a territory management plan for Medical Leadership and internal stakeholders.

• Assist in the onboarding of treatment centers, adverse event reporting, out-of-spec product handling, and local payer medical education.

• Evaluate scientific trends, identify evidence gaps, and recognize research opportunities pertinent to Orca Bio therapies.

• Act as the primary liaison for the Investigator-Sponsored Trial program, supporting concepts, protocols, review committees, study oversight, publications, and results dissemination.

• Collect and relay scientific insights and stakeholder feedback to leadership and cross-functional partners.

• Engage in advisory boards, investigator meetings, roundtables, educational events, professional organizations, advocacy groups, GPOs, networked practices, and speaker bureaus.

• Aid in clinical trial patient recruitment, enrollment, and ensure the safe and effective use of investigational products in compliance with GCP.

• Lead the collection, analysis, synthesis, and dissemination of congress and scientific-exchange information.

• Convert clinical trial data, competitive intelligence, and stakeholder feedback into actionable recommendations.

• Provide support for health outcomes, real-world evidence, and strategies for payer/provider engagement.

• Implement projects involving research, clinical development, commercial, market access, regulatory, and quality functions.

• Educate and train commercial marketing and sales teams regarding therapies and disease states.


⛳️ Requirements

• Advanced clinical degree in a life science or basic science field (MD, DO, PharmD, NP, PA, DNP, M.Sc, or Ph.D.) with industry experience as an MSL.

• Extensive clinical and/or industry experience in malignant hematology, hematopoietic stem cell transplant (HSCT), cellular therapy, CAR-T, immune effector cell therapies, and/or other advanced therapeutic modalities.

• In-depth understanding of the cell therapy ecosystem, including operations at transplant centers, apheresis and cell processing workflows, treatment center authorization, patient referral pathways, and competitive cell therapy products.

• Strong grasp of clinical development, regulatory requirements, and commercial strategies; familiarity with HEOR data is advantageous.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence a diverse range of stakeholders.

• Proven capability to interpret and present complex scientific data to varied audiences.

• Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving abilities, and a solution-oriented approach.

• Demonstrated success in collaborating with cross-functional colleagues to effectively meet the needs of both internal and external stakeholders.

• Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

• 5+ years of industry experience as an MSL (preferred experience).

• Proven experience with field medical launch planning, execution, and post-launch support.

• Direct experience supporting cell therapy, stem cell transplantation, CAR-T, or other advanced therapeutic platforms.

• Experience in a small biotech company or start-up environment.

• Candidate must reside in Ohio (preferred), Pennsylvania (preferred), Indiana, Kentucky, or West Virginia.
