Medical Science Liaison

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Act as a subject matter expert in stem cell transplantation, cell therapy, and cellular immunotherapy.

• Establish and nurture scientific relationships with academic professionals, thought leaders, healthcare providers, and access stakeholders within the designated territory.

• Develop and uphold territory management strategies.

• Assist in the onboarding of treatment centers, reporting of adverse events, handling of out-of-spec products, and providing medical education to payers.

• Evaluate the landscape of transplant and cell therapy to pinpoint scientific trends, identify evidence gaps, and explore research opportunities.

• Oversee the Investigator-Sponsored Trial program from the initial concept through study management, publication planning, and dissemination of results.

• Collect and relay scientific insights and stakeholder feedback to leadership and cross-functional teams.

• Offer scientific and clinical expertise during advisory boards, investigator meetings, educational sessions, and other stakeholder interactions.

• Facilitate patient recruitment and enrollment for clinical trials while ensuring safe and effective product usage in compliance with GCP and regulatory standards.

• Lead the gathering, analysis, synthesis, and sharing of scientific information from conferences and scientific exchanges.

• Assist in health outcomes, real-world evidence, and engagement strategies for payers and providers.

• Implement projects that support scientific, clinical, and business operations across research, clinical development, commercial, market access, regulatory, and quality sectors.

• Provide education and training on therapy and disease states to commercial marketing and sales teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• An advanced clinical degree in a life-science or basic-science field: MD, DO, PharmD, NP, PA, DNP, M.Sc, or Ph.D.

• Experience in the industry as a Medical Science Liaison.

• Substantial clinical and/or industry background in malignant hematology, HSCT, cellular therapy, CAR-T, immune effector cell therapies, or other advanced therapy modalities.

• Strong comprehension of the cell therapy ecosystem, including operations of transplant centers, apheresis, cell processing workflows, treatment-center authorizations, patient referral pathways, and competitive cell therapy products.

• In-depth knowledge of clinical development, regulatory requirements, and commercial strategies.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.

• Capability to interpret and present complex scientific data to diverse audiences.

• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional colleagues.

• Capacity to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Over 5 years of industry experience as an MSL (preferred experience).

• Familiarity with planning, executing, and providing post-launch support for field medical initiatives.

• Direct experience in supporting cell therapy, stem cell transplantation, CAR-T, or other advanced therapeutic platforms.

• Background in a small biotech company or start-up setting.

• Candidate must reside in Florida, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, or Arkansas.
