Medical Science Liaison

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +8 more states.

📋 Description

• Develop partnerships with key opinion leaders by exchanging scientific and medical information with external stakeholders within designated therapeutic areas and regions.

• Initiate and sustain educational and research collaborations.

• Present clinical, scientific, technical, and medical education materials.

• Foster peer-to-peer relationships with healthcare professionals, researchers, leaders of professional organizations, and formulary decision-makers.

• Identify and nurture thought leaders for opportunities in medical education, clinical research, and publications.

• Build and maintain KOL relationships for advisory boards, investigator-initiated research, and speaker development initiatives.

• Provide insights from the field to managers and internal teams.

• Spot opportunities for cross-functional collaboration based on customer needs.

• Represent Chiesi USA Medical Affairs at scientific conferences.

• Assist with company-supported clinical research, investigator-initiated trials, and collaborative projects.

• Collect and share competitive intelligence in line with company policies.

• Engage in internal therapeutic advisory groups.

• Collaborate with regional business partners to enhance customer experiences.

• Lead and contribute to internal medical and cross-functional projects.

• Support clinical research, medical education materials, internal training, journal clubs, and team meetings.

• Mentor and assist new team members during their onboarding process.

• Ensure timely documentation of field activities, expense reports, and administrative paperwork.

• Fulfill mandatory training requirements and maintain expertise, licenses, and certifications.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must possess a graduate-level degree: PharmD, M.D., D.O., DNP, PhD, MSN, MS, or a comparable healthcare professional degree.

• Relevant clinical experience is required.

• Completion of postgraduate residency training along with 1–2 years of MSL or relevant clinical experience in the therapeutic area; PhD candidates are exempt from the residency requirement if they possess the necessary experience.

• Capability to forge and utilize strategic relationships both internally and externally.

• Ability to collaborate effectively within diverse, multidisciplinary teams.

• Skill in planning, prioritizing, and managing multiple responsibilities with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.

• Scientific and clinical knowledge in the designated therapeutic area.

• Understanding of clinical, pharmacoeconomic, HEOR, and real-world evidence principles.

• Strong business acumen is essential.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Proficient in conveying complex scientific concepts to a range of audiences.

• Capability to provide scientifically accurate information to KOLs and HCPs.

• Ability to listen attentively and ask pertinent questions.

• Skill in articulating expert opinions diplomatically while maintaining evidence-based credibility.

• In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance standards, and hospital credentialing processes.

• Ability to secure and retain necessary hospital credentials.

• Successful completion of a drug screening, including marijuana testing.

• Willingness to travel up to 75% as required.

• Maintain all necessary professional licenses and certifications.
