This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Strategically enhance the medical and scientific goals of Alexion’s products throughout their life cycle.
• Effectively communicate precise and relevant scientific information to Key Opinion Leaders within the designated geographic region.
• Establish and nurture peer-to-peer collaborations with medical specialists and NF1 disease authorities.
• Identify, cultivate, and align relationships with KOLs, HCPs, partners, and professional organizations.
• Provide the medical community with up-to-date medical and scientific insights, as well as product information.
• Deliver medical education presentations and collect feedback for dissemination throughout the organization.
• Inform and educate Alexion’s internal stakeholders about local disease initiatives and treatment protocols.
• Identify and execute collaboration opportunities involving publications, joint research, advisory boards, training, and speaker development.
• Relay expert opinions, feedback on new data, and clinical trends to Medical Affairs and therapeutic area franchises.
• Convert scientific and clinical data into strategic recommendations to further scientific progress and enhance patient care.
• Assist in the execution of Brand and Affiliate Company Strategy.
• Train physician experts on delivering presentations, addressing inquiries, and providing references.
• Respond to unsolicited medical information requests, ensuring balanced and fair data responses.
• Contribute to collaborative research objectives and advocate for submitted proposals.
• Act as the point person for projects, conduct clinical study feasibility assessments, and support study implementation with clinical operations.
• Attend national and international meetings and congresses to gather insights and build HCP relationships.
• Maintain strong working relationships with commercial operations, sales, marketing, and other cross-functional teams.
• Over 3 years of experience as a Medical Science Liaison (MSL).
• PharmD, PhD, or equivalent qualification with a background in biological sciences.
• Bilingual in French and English.
• Experience in the relevant therapeutic area.
• Background in recently launched and marketed biologics/therapies is advantageous.
• Prior experience in a rare or ultra-rare disease environment is considered a plus.
• Proven ability to present complex scientific data effectively.
• Consistent history of relationship development within the industry.
• Well-established networks and connections with TA-focused experts are highly preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and high-level job competencies.
• Demonstrated personal initiative and capability to work as part of a cross-functional team.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently.
• Outstanding oral and written communication abilities.
• Willingness to travel to medical meetings, team gatherings, and group meetings as required; some weekends may also be necessary.
• Must reside within the territory in which you will operate (mandatory).
