This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
β’ Provide comprehensive clerical assistance to ensure the efficient and accurate management of patient records.
β’ Retrieve, file, and deliver medical records promptly.
β’ Address inquiries from medical personnel, department staff, and billing offices.
β’ Obtain and supply medical records from various platforms and providers.
β’ Resolve issues related to missing medical reports or records.
β’ Collaborate with clinic personnel to rectify discrepancies and request records from off-site storage.
β’ Organize, scan, and preserve medical records and reports.
β’ Confirm daily data entry within the electronic medical record system.
β’ Conduct regular qualitative assessments of medical records.
β’ Examine incoming records for compliance with required documentation.
β’ Maintain and archive both physical and electronic medical records.
β’ Assist in managing departmental facilities, equipment, and supplies.
β’ Notify supervisors of inventory requirements and equipment issues.
β’ Ensure that patient records and sensitive information are kept confidential and secure.
β’ Build collaborative working relationships across departments to enhance patient care.
β’ Perform additional related duties as assigned.
β’ High School Diploma or equivalent work experience is mandatory.
β’ A minimum of one year of clerical experience in a medical or healthcare environment is preferred.
β’ Required proficiency in using computers and performing data entry tasks.
β’ Familiarity with medical record management systems and electronic health record (EHR) systems is preferred.
β’ Completion of courses in medical terminology, HIPAA compliance, or privacy training is advantageous.
β’ Excellent customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.
β’ Strong organizational abilities with the capacity to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
β’ Demonstrated capability to work independently and manage complex tasks in a fast-paced setting.
β’ Ability to effectively problem-solve and manage workflows.
β’ Keen attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring the accuracy and confidentiality of medical records.
β’ Must maintain a professional attitude and demeanor while interacting with patients, staff, and external stakeholders.
β’ Ability to contribute to a cohesive, high-performing team focused on delivering exceptional patient care.
β’ Must adhere to HIPAA, HHS, State, CMS, and other relevant regulations.
