Medical Malpractice Attorney

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Oversee a diverse caseload of medical malpractice litigation throughout California's state courts, from initial evaluation to resolution or trial.

• Prepare pleadings, motions, notices of intent under Code of Civil Procedure Section 364, and government claims in accordance with Government Code Section 911.2.

• Identify, engage, and coach expert witnesses from various medical fields to assess standards of care, causation, and significant damages.

• Conduct and defend depositions involving plaintiffs, treating physicians, defense medical experts, and representatives from institutions or hospitals.

• Utilize AI-driven legal software and advanced digital legal technologies to streamline record reviews, legal research, and trial preparation.

• Advocate for clients in court appearances, arbitrations, mandatory settlement conferences, mediations, and trials.

⛳️ Requirements

• Active member of the State Bar of California.

• Between 2 to 5 years of experience in civil litigation, specifically focused on plaintiff-side medical malpractice or significant personal injury cases.

• Strong preference for candidates with first-chair trial experience.

• Solid understanding of California Code of Civil Procedure Section 340.5.

• Familiarity with MICRA provisions.

• Experience in interpreting medical records.

• Background in preparing expert witnesses.

• Must currently reside in California.

• A quiet, dedicated home office that is equipped for virtual court hearings and remote depositions.
