Medical Director, Medical Affairs – Neurology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Bulgaria, +4 more countries.

📋 Description

• Act as the Global Lead Medical Monitor for designated pan-regional and/or global trials.

• Deliver therapeutic and protocol-specific training to project teams.

• Provide medical insights for clinical development initiatives, study protocols, research publications, and client-oriented white papers.

• Maintain expertise in assigned projects through participation in internal meetings, review of therapeutic and clinical literature, and attendance at conferences and meetings.

• Assist in achieving annual departmental revenue goals and other tasks as designated by senior management.

• Review and/or aid in the preparation of final study reports, protocols, ISS/ISEs, and other relevant study documentation.

• Support Business Development through proposals, feasibility evaluations, medical-services proposals and contract assessments, and sponsor meetings.

• Mentor other medical personnel as instructed by senior management.

• Assist senior management in leading the department and the company.

• Ensure adherence to ethical, legal, and regulatory standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• A medical degree (MD or an internationally recognized equivalent) with a specialization in Neurology is required.

• Board certification in Neurology or an internationally recognized equivalent is required.

• 6-8 years of experience in the CRO, Pharma, or Biotech sectors in a medical monitoring or study physician capacity.

• Possess a valid passport and the ability to travel if necessary.

• Working knowledge of GCPs and regulatory standards associated with clinical development and safety.

• Experience in reviewing and/or assisting with the preparation of final study reports (CSRs), protocols, ISS/ISEs, or other study-related documentation.

• Proven experience in supporting Business Development through proposal generation, feasibility evaluations, medical-services proposal/contract reviews, and sponsor meetings.

• Strong clinical/therapeutic knowledge in the relevant medical subspecialty.

• Experience in pediatric neurology and/or gene therapy neurology is considered a significant advantage.
