Medical Coding Specialist II – Dermatology/Multi Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.

📋 Description

• Commit to a 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday, with hours adjusted according to operational requirements.

• Execute medical coding tasks for dermatology as well as various other specialties.

• Operate remotely from an authorized remote work location for UW Health.

• Utilize advanced coding experience and relevant certification in carrying out assigned responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Completion of Medical Coding education is necessary, or an active coding certification may be accepted in place of Medical Coding education.

• A High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.

• An Associate's Degree in a healthcare-related discipline is preferred.

• A minimum of 1 year of progressive coding experience is required.

• At least 2 years of progressive coding experience across multiple specialties is preferred, with HCC Risk Adjustment Coding being advantageous.

• One of the following certifications must be obtained upon hiring: CPC, COC, CIC, CCS, CCS-P, CCA, CRC, RHIT, or RHIA.
