This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Conduct advanced medical coding for diagnoses, procedures, and medications utilizing established coding systems such as MedDRA and WHO Drug.
• Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and compliance of coding with regulatory standards across various clinical studies.
• Work in collaboration with clinical and data management teams to address complex coding discrepancies and inquiries.
• Offer expertise in the creation and enhancement of medical coding conventions and procedures.
• Keep abreast of updates in medical coding standards and ensure their application within clinical trial processes.
• Deliver scientific operations tasks to a high standard while closely collaborating with the team and stakeholders.
• A bachelor's degree in life sciences, healthcare, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in medical coding, ideally with MedDRA and WHO Drug, in a clinical research environment.
• Strong comprehension of clinical trial processes and the regulatory requirements associated with medical coding.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail and accuracy in handling medical data.
• Proficient communication and collaboration skills, with a background in working within cross-functional teams.
• Legal authorization to work in the country where the position is located.
