This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Develop and compose reports derived from medical records and relevant guideline criteria.
• Evaluate provider billing for adherence to appropriate coding and billing standards.
• Conduct quality assurance checks on each case prior to finalization.
• Ensure all medical records and reports are accurately documented and accessible for auditing purposes.
• Manage client invoicing in alignment with the client’s fee structure.
• Reach out to clients as necessary for inquiries.
• Offer testimony in court regarding the content of prepared reports, when required.
• High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
• At least one year of experience in medical billing, or a suitable combination of education and experience is required.
• Current coding certification in OASIS, RAC-CT, CCS, CPC, RHIT, or RHIA is essential.
• CPMA certification is preferred.
• Comprehensive understanding of the various components of medical billing is necessary.
• Ability to demonstrate knowledge of different types of medical billing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Internet usage.
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and compliance is required.
• Typing speed of 35 words per minute or higher is expected.
