Inpatient Corporate Coder

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Code and abstract patient health documentation for Tenet facilities with accuracy and efficiency.

• Review cases flagged in CARDS and RevInt to ensure coding precision.

• Support coding quality reviews, audits, and second-level reviews as necessary.

• Participate in Tenet coding education sessions.

• Uphold coding credentials.

• Contribute to productive coding efforts to maintain DNFC.

• Aid in training new Corporate Coders and assist with various projects as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• An Associate's degree or higher in a Health Information Management discipline.

• Completion of at least one AHIMA-certified program; obtaining the corresponding professional credential (RHIA, RHIT, and/or CCS, etc.) is preferred.

• 1–3 years of experience in inpatient coding.

• Proficient in using the MS Office suite.

• Strong technical expertise and experience with electronic medical records.

• A pre-employment coding proficiency assessment is required.

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in a Health Information Management discipline is preferred.

• Preferred experience of 3+ years in inpatient coding.

• Coding experience in a large, complex healthcare system is preferred.
