This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nevada.
• Evaluate accounts utilizing data from various databases to allocate appropriate codes
• Input and verify additional details necessary for billing purposes
• Maintain communication with crew members and the company to gather missing or updated documentation
• Examine and address all issues identified in coding reports
• Ensure documents are properly indexed into the electronic records management system
• Index corrected or outstanding paperwork
• Carry out other assigned responsibilities
• No supervisory duties involved
• Travel requirement: 0%
• High school diploma or GED, along with one to two years of relevant experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• 1–2 years of experience in the healthcare sector; preferred
• Experience in coding; preferred
• Knowledge of ICD-10, HCPCS, and CPT coding standards; required
• Strong interpersonal capabilities and teamwork skills at all levels
• Exceptional organizational abilities, attention to detail, prioritization, multitasking, and deadline management
• Basic customer service and telephone skills
• Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS); preferred
• Consistent and regular attendance
