Medical Coder

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Accurately assign CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes for outpatient encounters based on the documentation provided by the provider.

• Enter and manage charges using eClinicalWorks (eCW).

• Review and submit claims, ensuring that they are accurate and compliant before submission.

• Identify and address coding-related denials and resubmit corrected claims as necessary.

• Collaborate with providers and billing personnel to clarify questions regarding documentation and coding.

• Stay updated on payor policies, changes in coding guidelines, and compliance requirements.

• Provide support for coding audits and quality reviews as required.

• Assist in reducing revenue leakage, enhancing clean claim rates, and improving the experience for both practices and patients.

⛳️ Requirements

• CPC (Certified Professional Coder) certification is mandatory.

• At least 2 years of experience in outpatient medical coding is required.

• Familiarity with eClinicalWorks (eCW) is preferred.

• Strong understanding of CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS, and payor billing requirements.

• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payor guidelines.

• Excellent attention to detail with a strong commitment to coding accuracy and compliance.

• Ability to independently manage priorities and follow through on tasks to resolution in a remote setting.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.

• Must have reliable internet access and maintain a HIPAA-compliant remote workspace.

• Authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.

• Must currently reside in the United States.
