Medical Billing Specialist – Payment Posting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Process payments that have been received and generate batches for posting.

• Identify instances of underpayment and prepare necessary appeal documentation.

• Accurately code claims using CPT and ICD-10 coding systems.

• Submit claims to clearinghouses and review or update claim corrections as needed.

• Engage with patients, providers, and payers to verify eligibility, obtain pre-certifications, or follow up on claims and appeals.

• Carry out additional tasks as directed by management.

• Ensure timely and precise payment for medical services provided to clients' patients.

• Collect payments from insurance entities.

• Deliver outstanding customer service.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the US healthcare sector.

• Proficient knowledge of medical billing codes, including CPT and HCPCS coding, claims modifiers, and ICD-10 diagnosis coding.

• Familiarity with Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) systems, Practice Management Systems (PMS), and related tools.

• Understanding of various types of insurance coverage and claims, including Health, Workers' Compensation, and Auto insurance.

• Ability to read and interpret Explanation of Benefits (EOBs).

• Experience in coordinating with insurance companies.

• Strong adaptability and a quick learning ability.

• Demonstrated efficiency and punctuality in task completion.

• Preference will be given to candidates residing in the metro area.
