Medical Billing Specialist – AR & Payment Posting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Timely response to information requests from both internal and external sources.

• Accurately and promptly enter charges from superbills and demographic reports.

• Incorporate specific data, including modifiers and payer-specific information such as authorization criteria, CPT, ICD-9, and ICD-10 codes.

• Address discrepancies, reconcile, and finalize charge batches across all systems.

• Monitor and follow up on information requests to and from the practice.

• Meet supervisor-established goals for error-free work, transactions, processes, and compliance standards.

• Process payments.

• Conduct patient phone calls.

• Handle claims processing.

• Professionally manage patient phone inquiries.

• Carry out additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a medical provider or billing firm setting within the US Healthcare Industry.

• Background in Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Quick learning aptitude.

• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.

• Strong oral and written communication abilities.

• Capacity to work independently while also collaborating well with others.

• Proficiency in adding specific data including modifiers and payer-specific information, such as authorization criteria, CPT, ICD-9, and ICD-10 codes.

• Experience in payment posting.

• Familiarity with claims processing.
