This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Perform procedural coding in compliance with established coding rules, conventions, standards, and guidelines.

• Execute diagnostic coding in alignment with coding rules, conventions, standards, and guidelines.

• Engage in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing coding accuracy.

• Collaborate with the Coding Centre leadership concerning received clinical data.

• Guarantee the delivery of high-quality and timely clinical coding with utmost integrity.

⛳️ Requirements

• Qualification in Clinical Coding.

• Experience in clinical coding.

• Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

• Familiarity with anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.

• Understanding of ICD-10, CSSA, and SADA rules and guidelines, with the ability to implement them in a practical setting.

• Knowledge of pertinent coding systems, including ICD-10 manuals, the latest CCSA coding manuals, clinical coding systems (Encoder), South African Coding Master Industry Table (MIT), and Patient Administrative systems.

• Awareness of Clinical Coding and associated Coding Policies.

• Familiarity with SA ICD-10 Morbidity Coding Standards and Guidelines, WHO coding conventions, PHISC ICD-10 and CCSA Coding Standards and Guidelines, along with Mediclinic Coding Standards.

• Strong grasp of professional conduct.

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
