Medical Biller, Specialty DME

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Process billing for Medicare, Medicaid, and various insurance providers.

• Investigate and rectify rejected claims while posting payments.

• Resubmit claims accompanied by necessary documentation as required.

• Record payments or rejections received.

• Contact payers and utilize their websites to check the status of claims, reprocess claims, and ensure payment.

• Update accounts receivable with new accounts or missed payments.

• Keep clients updated about their outstanding balances and debts.

• Acquire knowledge of billing, documentation, and prior authorization requirements for new product categories.

• Transform newly acquired knowledge into repeatable billing processes.

• Collaborate with the Revenue Cycle Management team to facilitate claims and payments for at-home medical equipment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.

• Detail-oriented and precise when managing a queue of claims, denials, or payments.

• Energetic and well-organized.

• Quick learner who is comfortable with new concepts.

• Open to coaching and curious; receptive to feedback, asks relevant questions, and applies new knowledge.

• Some prior experience in US medical billing, claims, or the revenue cycle is advantageous.

• Familiarity with prior authorizations and medical necessity documentation for Durable Medical Equipment (DME) is a plus.

• Experience in billing for diabetes equipment, respiratory devices, mobility aids, or Orthotics & Prosthetics is a bonus.

• Proficient or familiar with Verse's internal order and billing platform, clearinghouse tools, Availity, DME MAC portals, health plan provider portals, Metabase, Google Sheets, Slack, and Google Workspace.

• Must reside in Manila, Philippines.
