Medical Biller, Coder

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Accurately and efficiently process and submit medical claims.

• Review patient records and assign appropriate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes.

• Engage in communication with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and team members as required.

• Handle denied or unpaid claims and resubmit them when necessary.

• Uphold a high standard of confidentiality and ensure HIPAA compliance.

• Take part in a virtual information session or group interview that discusses available positions, expectations, and the next steps.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must have access to a quiet and secure home office environment.

• Prior experience in medical billing and/or coding is highly preferred.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) or billing platforms such as Kareo, AdvancedMD, or Athenahealth is advantageous.

• Basic knowledge of insurance processes and terminology is required.

• Certification in medical billing or coding, such as CPC or CBCS, is a plus.

• Self-motivated individual eager to acquire real-world experience.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
