This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Deliver clinical care and administrative support under the supervision of a licensed clinician.

• Accompany patients to examination rooms and document vital signs.

• Gather and record patient health status, history, and progress.

• Conduct EKGs, perform phlebotomy, and execute Point of Care tests.

• Prepare, document, and administer non-intravenous injections within the defined scope of practice.

• Assist with physical examinations and various clinical procedures.

• Review laboratory results and promptly communicate any abnormal findings.

• Relay observations and changes in patient status to licensed clinicians.

• Prepare, maintain, disinfect, and sterilize patient rooms, instruments, scopes, and equipment.

• Aid in patient movement, admissions, transfers, and discharges.

• Manage appointment scheduling and perform administrative tasks including typing, filing, correspondence, phone management, and medical record documentation.

• Oversee clinical supplies, inventory, logs, charts, and medical records.

• Process prescriptions and manage refills.

• Confirm insurance coverage, eligibility, prior authorizations, pre-certifications, and referrals.

• Collect patient co-payments and maintain accurate records.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or Heart Saver (HS) certification from the American Heart Association; must be obtained within 3 months of hire if not available upon hiring.

• Medical Assistant certification recognized by the Massachusetts Department of Health (ARMA, NHA, etc.).

• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted in lieu of certification, licensure, or registration if not required.

• Capability to perform clinical and clerical tasks within the defined scope of practice.

• Proficient in performing EKGs, phlebotomy, and Point of Care tests.

• Skillful in preparing and administering non-intravenous injections as needed.

• Ability to safely handle, move, lift, position, and transport patients.
