
Medicaid Program and Policy Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Lead initiatives within a portfolio of intricate Medicaid projects for state Medicaid agency clients.
β’ Assist in the creation of operational systems that ensure health coverage and continuity of care for individuals transitioning from incarceration.
β’ Support the oversight and maintenance of Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic programs.
β’ Promote strategic Medicaid initiatives throughout various phases of the project lifecycle.
β’ Deliver project management, subject matter expertise, and leadership.
β’ Create client deliverables, which include program and policy recommendations, state plan and waiver amendments, complex analyses, status reports, technical strategy plans, and presentations.
β’ Establish relationships with project team members, client contacts, stakeholders, federal partners, and vendor representatives.
β’ Communicate project and delivery updates to clients, team members, and stakeholders.
β’ Supervise junior colleagues and provide guidance on schedules, scopes, and deliverables.
β’ Mentor junior staff and collaborate with senior management on client projects and career growth.
β’ A minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience in state or federal government, healthcare, and/or consulting.
β’ At least 3 years of experience working directly for, or consulting with, a State Medicaid agency.
β’ Extensive experience with Medicaid programs and policies.
β’ Proven experience in developing and/or implementing Medicaid policies and programs.
β’ Experience in interpreting and analyzing federal laws and regulations, along with documenting compliance recommendations.
β’ Background in stakeholder engagement, research, and facilitating meetings.
β’ Alternative experience may include working for managed care organizations, state Medicaid managed care plans, or other relevant stakeholders.
β’ Demonstrated ability in project management and resolving client issues.
β’ Strong critical thinking skills to adapt to changing priorities in a deadline-oriented environment.
β’ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to build client relationships.
β’ A Bachelorβs degree or equivalent years of experience in lieu of a degree.
β’ Willingness to travel to client sites, with travel requirements of up to 50%.
