
Mediation Services Coordinator β 6-month Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
β’ Address inquiries related to the Community Mediation Pilot Program.
β’ Offer information to potential applicants, participants, and stakeholders about program processes and eligibility criteria.
β’ Organize intake activities and assist with case administration during the mediation process.
β’ Perform preliminary eligibility assessments following the approved program guidelines and procedures.
β’ Allocate cases to co-mediation teams based on availability, capacity, and operational factors.
β’ Manage scheduling and administrative logistics for mediators and participants.
β’ Track case progress and ensure timely completion of mediation tasks.
β’ Identify operational challenges and escalate issues as necessary.
β’ Act as the main contact for volunteer mediators.
β’ Maintain consistent communication with applicants, mediation participants, volunteer mediators, and other stakeholders.
β’ Foster a positive participant experience by delivering timely, professional, and responsive service.
β’ Keep accurate and confidential case files, records, and program documentation.
β’ Ensure precise collection and maintenance of program data, metrics, and statistics.
β’ Assist in gathering participant feedback and conducting pilot evaluation activities.
β’ Prepare reports, summaries, and updates regarding program activities and outcomes.
β’ Aid in the development and continuous enhancement of program procedures, tools, and resources.
β’ Identify opportunities to improve service delivery and administrative efficiency.
β’ Provide recommendations concerning pilot design, operational processes, and future program implementation.
β’ Report to the Director of Policy, Programs & Dispute Resolution.
β’ Post-secondary education in a relevant field, or a combination of education and experience deemed equivalent.
β’ Proven experience in providing administrative, program coordination, or case management support.
β’ Exceptional organizational abilities with the capability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
β’ Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
β’ Demonstrated commitment to professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality when managing sensitive information.
β’ Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and virtual meeting platforms.
β’ Strong customer service skills and stakeholder management capabilities.
β’ Experience in mediation, dispute resolution, alternative dispute resolution (ADR), or community-based conflict resolution.
β’ Mediation training, certification, or postgraduate education related to dispute resolution.
β’ Experience supporting volunteer-based programs or initiatives.
β’ Experience in project coordination, program administration, or case management.
β’ Knowledge of Ontarioβs condominium sector and governance.
β’ Experience working in a regulatory, public-sector, tribunal, or not-for-profit environment.
β’ Contractor responsible for their own applicable statutory remittances, insurance, and business expenses unless otherwise agreed in advance.
β’ Fully remote work arrangement.
β’ Full-time anticipated workload during the engagement period.
β’ Hourly rate of $30-38 per hour, with invoices submitted and paid bi-weekly.
β’ Occasional attendance at meetings as required.
