
Mechanical Construction Project Manager β Government & Military Facility Construction/Retrofit

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +3 more states.
β’ Supervise and oversee the construction of one large project and/or several smaller mechanical or multidisciplinary projects.
β’ Manage projects adhering to established construction budgets to guarantee customer satisfaction and quality of installation.
β’ Handle material and labor logistics for timely and efficient project execution.
β’ Assist in the training of Project Supervisors, Project Foremen, and Technicians.
β’ Prepare and submit budget estimates, progress updates, and cost tracking documentation.
β’ Develop, maintain, and follow construction schedules; allocate personnel to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
β’ Provide guidance on local regulations related to landfills, carting companies, mechanical codes, and permitting processes.
β’ Ensure adherence to safety practices, performing work in a safe and productive manner.
β’ Concurrently manage multiple energy efficiency projects.
β’ Prepare and conduct performance evaluations; discipline, train, and counsel assigned personnel as necessary.
β’ Maintain communication with clients, PowerSecure executives, subcontractors, permitting/code enforcement agents, engineers, architects, and various trades employees.
β’ Manage subcontractors in compliance with contractual obligations, both internally and onsite.
β’ Ensure clean and safe work environments, including proper recycling and waste disposal in accordance with local regulations.
β’ Inspect project sites prior to installation to determine specialized equipment needs.
β’ Verify the accuracy and quality of work against or exceeding customer expectations.
β’ Monitor, track, and document both consumed and remaining materials.
β’ Maintain precise documentation and timely deliverables.
β’ Secure storage facilities for project materials and equipment.
β’ Create and uphold project risk management plans.
β’ Supervise project quality assurance standards.
β’ A minimum of a High school diploma or GED is mandatory.
β’ At least 7 years of experience managing government contracts.
β’ A minimum of 6 years of project management experience in the commercial or industrial construction sector.
β’ Possession of a valid Driverβs License with a clean driving record.
β’ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, etc.).
β’ OSHA 30 certification/training is required; arrangements will be made for training if necessary.
β’ PMP certification is preferred.
β’ Capability to climb ladders, kneel, reach, balance, regularly lift up to 40 pounds, work overhead, stand for extended durations, and navigate uneven terrains.
β’ Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in different climates, including both conditioned and unconditioned environments.
