MDM ETL Specialist, Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Utilize Informatica MDM to integrate agency source data, implement transformations and corrections, and include fields through the change request process.

• Assist with Informatica MDM development and operational tasks.

• Automate data staging by scheduling scripts to ensure optimal system performance.

• Develop MDM mappings, mapplets, sessions, and workflows.

• Perform ETL transformations including Aggregator, Expression, Filter, Router, Sequence Generator, Update Strategy, Joiner, Rank, Source Qualifier, Lookup, and Sorter.

• Schedule and oversee ETL/Informatica jobs across development, system testing, and production environments.

• Address post-release production support issues and create effective solutions.

• Design, maintain, and analyze complex SQL queries and scripts for Teradata data marts.

• Collaborate with QA on defect resolution, validation, and testing of MDM processes.

• Document and propose alternative technical solutions or requirements.

• Engage in unit, integration, and system testing.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in MDM, ETL/ELT, data engineering, or data integration development.

• More than 3 years of direct experience with Informatica MDM implementation.

• Proficiency in developing Informatica ETL mappings, mapplets, sessions, workflows, transformations, scheduling, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

• SQL experience with large MDM and enterprise relational DBMS platforms.

• Understanding of data quality, matching, unique client/member identifiers, standardization, reconciliation, and data governance concepts.

• Background in supporting ETL/MDM operations, performance tuning, issue resolution, and SDLC delivery.

• Experience with Python programming for scripting, automation, testing, or data processing support.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

• Familiarity with other MDM tools, including cloud-native MDM solutions.

• Experience in State government, public sector, or regulated environments.

• Proficiency in Agile/Scrum sprint development and iterative/incremental delivery.

• Experience with healthcare, Medicaid, claims, eligibility, provider, or Health and Human Services data.

• Exposure to X12, EDI, XML, JSON, APIs, or HL7/FHIR.

• Familiarity with Azure, ADF, Databricks, Snowflake, or Data Lake platforms.

• Experience with on-prem-to-cloud migration, MDM modernization, or EDW/ETL modernization.

• Awareness of automation, AI/ML, GenAI, or LLM-assisted engineering.

• Ability to work effectively in a telecommute environment and within a matrix organization with minimal oversight.
