Mathematics Specialist – Freelance AI Trainer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Engage in discussions with language models regarding classroom challenges and theoretical mathematics inquiries.

• Assess the accuracy of facts and the validity of logic.

• Document reproducible error traces and outline the failure modes of the model.

• Propose enhancements for prompt engineering and evaluation metrics.

• Test advanced language models on topics related to both pure and applied mathematics.

• Assist in the creation of high-quality training data for AI systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in Portuguese (Portugal).

• In-depth knowledge of algebra, calculus, number theory, linear algebra, differential equations, statistics, geometry, mathematical logic, and discrete mathematics.

• Capability to work on real and complex analysis, optimization theory, mathematical proofs, set theory, probability distributions, cryptographic algorithms, and applied mathematics.

• Strong metacognitive communication skills with the ability to clearly demonstrate your reasoning.

• A master’s degree or PhD in mathematics or a closely related quantitative discipline is preferred.

• Experience with peer-reviewed publications, teaching, research in pure or applied mathematics, or practical experience in mathematical modeling is advantageous.

• Access to a secure computer and high-speed internet connection.

• Geographic location will be considered when determining the final pay rate.
