This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Engage in advanced research-level physics challenges within the applicant's specific subfield.
• Develop, resolve, review, or evaluate physics problems according to the alignment with publication record.
• Generate comprehensive written justifications for independent expert validation.
• Utilize techniques related to special function analysis, integrability, combinatorics, or geometric analysis.
• Submit representative papers, author positions, and proven methods for each designated research domain.
• Participate in onboarding or a brief live alignment call to establish the area and assignment.
• Complete a 30 to 45-minute assessment if necessary.
• Collaborate on initiatives that train and advance cutting-edge AI systems.
• PhD in mathematical physics, theoretical physics, or mathematics (this is a strict requirement).
• Published research on at least one identified phenomenon: special functions, integrable systems, permutation combinatorics for random tensor network entanglement, or conformal geometry.
• A verifiable publication record with three to five representative papers, ideally as the first author, including arXiv IDs or DOIs.
• Publications should preferably be from the last five years.
• The strongest candidates include postdoctoral researchers, research scientists, and junior faculty; senior PhD students with a robust first-author record are also encouraged to apply.
• Proficiency in LaTeX, Python, SymPy, and Jupyter.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher, encompassing written reasoning.
• Capability to provide thorough written justifications that another specialist can independently follow and validate.
• Applicants must be eligible to work as independent contractors.
• H1-B and STEM OPT candidates are not eligible for consideration.
• A commitment of 10 hours per week over an 8 to 10 week period, beginning immediately.
