Math Tutor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Instruct math subjects from 6th grade up to college level.

• Offer tailored 1-on-1 online tutoring sessions.

• Assist students throughout the United States via flexible remote sessions.

• Engage with students based on your availability and the subjects you cover.

• Complete the onboarding and tutor activation process according to the staggered contract-signing schedule.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree is required.

• At least 3 years of professional teaching or tutoring experience.

• A minimum of 1 year of relevant teaching or tutoring experience in the U.S.

• Must have provided teaching or tutoring services within the past 2 years.

• At least 1 year of experience in online tutoring is essential.

• Strong grasp of the U.S. curriculum and grading standards is necessary.

• Capability to tutor a variety of Math subjects from 6th grade to college level.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities are a must.

• Availability during peak hours from Monday to Thursday, 3 to 10 PM ET is preferred for connecting with more students.

• A fast and reliable internet connection is required.

• A computer or laptop equipped with a microphone and camera is essential.

• A stylus pen is highly recommended for effective annotations.

• A quiet and professional environment is necessary for tutoring sessions.

• Direct and professional teaching or tutoring experience is mandatory; TA experience, peer tutoring, grader roles, SI, or lab assistant-only experience does not fulfill the requirements.

• Adherence to the specified onboarding and tutor activation timeline is required.
