Math Instructor – Full-Time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.

📋 Description

• Teach small groups of students core mathematical skills to ensure long-term mastery and achieve high ACT/SAT scores.

• Track student progress utilizing Vanguard’s multi-phase curriculum.

• Provide students with personalized growth and improvement opportunities.

• Respond to student inquiries promptly.

• Keep student lesson schedules up to date on the online platform.

• Hold students accountable for their assignments.

• Design and implement innovative lesson plans and curriculum that evolve over time.

• Guide middle and high school students as they navigate the college preparation process.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in mathematics, education, or a related STEM field from accredited US institutions (Master’s or higher preferred; candidates nearing graduation are welcome).

• At least 1 year of teaching experience in mathematics and/or experience in a community college or college tutoring center.

• A strong academic record showcasing high achievement (e.g., 3.5+ GPA).

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Google Workspace.

• A reliable internet connection and a quiet, dedicated workspace.

• A solid understanding of classroom teaching methodologies.

• Capability to develop engaging, customized lesson plans incorporating practical, real-world examples.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex mathematical concepts.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

• Expertise in SAT and ACT Math, covering Pre-Algebra, Algebra I & II, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Statistics.
