Math Instructor – FT

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Dakota.

📋 Description

• Teach small groups of students foundational math skills to achieve long-term proficiency and excel in ACT/SAT examinations.

• Track student advancement utilizing Vanguard’s multi-phase curriculum.

• Provide students with personalized growth and improvement opportunities.

• Respond to student inquiries promptly.

• Keep student lesson schedules updated on the online platform.

• Ensure students are accountable for their assignments.

• Design and creatively implement evolving lesson plans and curriculum.

• Guide middle and high school students as they prepare for college.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in mathematics, education, or a related STEM field from accredited US institutions (Master’s or higher preferred; candidates nearing graduation are welcome).

• Minimum of 1 year of teaching experience in math or experience at a community college or tutoring center at the college level.

• Strong academic background demonstrating high achievement (e.g., 3.5+ GPA).

• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and Google Suite.

• Reliable internet connection and a dedicated, quiet workspace.

• Strong understanding of classroom pedagogy.

• Ability to develop customized, engaging lesson plans that incorporate practical, real-world examples.

• Effective communication skills to simplify complex mathematical concepts.

• Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

• Mastery of SAT and ACT Math, particularly in Pre-Algebra, Algebra I & II, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Statistics.
