Math Instructor, FT

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Dakota.

📋 Description

• Teach small groups of students foundational math skills to foster long-term mastery and achieve top scores on the ACT/SAT.

• Track student progress utilizing Vanguard’s multi-phase curriculum.

• Engage students through personalized growth and improvement opportunities.

• Respond to students promptly.

• Maintain and update student lesson schedules on the online platform.

• Hold students accountable for their assignments.

• Design and creatively implement evolving lesson plans and curriculum.

• Guide middle and high school students as they navigate the college preparation process.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in mathematics, education, or a related STEM field from accredited US institutions (Master’s degree or higher preferred; candidates nearing graduation will also be considered).

• At least 1 year of teaching experience in math and/or experience at a community college or college-level tutoring center.

• A strong academic record indicating high achievement (e.g., GPA of 3.5 or higher).

• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and Google Workspace.

• A reliable internet connection.

• A dedicated and quiet workspace.

• A solid understanding of classroom pedagogy.

• Capability to create customized and engaging lesson plans using practical, real-world examples.

• A passion for helping students identify, strive for, and achieve their fullest potential.

• Ability to make complex mathematical concepts accessible.

• Competence to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

• Expertise in SAT and ACT Math, encompassing Pre-Algebra, Algebra I & II, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Statistics.
