Master Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair equipment used in commercial cooking, refrigeration, warewashing, and other foodservice applications.

• Work on a variety of systems including ovens, fryers, steamers, griddles, dishwashers, ice machines, walk-in coolers, reach-ins, and other commercial kitchen equipment.

• Identify root causes by troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, gas, and refrigeration issues.

• Utilize wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals to diagnose intricate equipment failures.

• Collaborate directly with restaurant managers, hospitality clients, and other commercial partners.

• Engage with manufacturers and technical support teams for additional assistance when necessary.

• Execute repairs with precision, efficiency, and professionalism.

• Conduct preventative maintenance and identify potential problems to avert emergency service calls.

• Maintain detailed records of service, work orders, time logs, and parts documentation.

• Oversee the upkeep of the company vehicle, tools, and inventory.

• Suggest supplementary services or repairs when suitable.

• Adhere to established safety protocols and company standards.

• Share expertise with fellow technicians through troubleshooting support and technical guidance.

• Independently manage service calls while ensuring productivity and customer satisfaction.

• Participate in emergency on-call duties, including nights and weekends.

• Occasionally travel overnight as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.

• Minimum of 2 years of technical experience in refrigeration, appliance repair, commercial kitchen equipment, HVAC, or a similar technical field.

• Proficient mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.

• Capability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics.

• Possession of a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.

• Ability to work autonomously and handle multiple service calls effectively.

• Willingness to participate in an emergency on-call schedule, including nights and weekends.

• Availability for occasional overnight travel.

• Authorization to work in the United States without the need for current or future employer sponsorship.

• Extensive experience in repairing commercial kitchen equipment is preferred as an additional qualification.

• Experience servicing both hot-side and cold-side equipment is preferred as an additional qualification.

• Background in diagnosing complex electrical, mechanical, gas, or refrigeration issues is preferred as an additional qualification.

• Previous experience in mentoring, training, or assisting other service technicians is preferred as an additional qualification.

• Additional qualifications include EPA, CFESA, or other relevant technical certifications.

• Relevant military technical experience is an additional qualification.

• Capability to work in commercial kitchens and customer environments.

• Ability to frequently bend, kneel, squat, reach, push, and pull.

• Capacity to occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 70 pounds.

• Ability to work around hot surfaces, open flames, pressurized steam, electrical components, and moving mechanical equipment.

• Ability to work occasionally in damp, humid, freezing, or otherwise uncomfortable conditions.

• Capability to work on ladders, rooftops, and occasionally in elevated work spaces.
