Master Data Management Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the formulation of enterprise Master Data Management (MDM) strategies, roadmaps, and solution architectures.

• Specify MDM architectures catering to customer, product, supplier, employee, financial, and other essential master data domains.

• Evaluate clients' current data environments and pinpoint opportunities to enhance data quality, consistency, governance, and accessibility.

• Establish MDM patterns such as registry, consolidation, coexistence, and centralized MDM methodologies.

• Create target-state architectures and implementation roadmaps that align with business and technology goals.

• Set up data models, domain structures, hierarchies, relationships, and business rules.

• Collaborate with business and data governance stakeholders to define data ownership, stewardship, governance, and accountability frameworks.

• Set data quality standards, validation rules, matching strategies, survivorship rules, and data stewardship processes.

• Design solutions for data cleansing, enrichment, standardization, deduplication, and reconciliation.

• Assist clients in establishing governance frameworks that support the long-term sustainability of MDM programs.

• Create integration architectures that link MDM platforms with enterprise applications and data sources.

• Formulate strategies for integrating MDM with ERP, CRM, HCM, financial, supply chain, e-commerce, and other enterprise applications.

• Partner with integration teams to outline APIs, event-driven integrations, batch processes, and data synchronization models.

• Utilize technologies such as Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), Salesforce integrations, APIs, ETL/ELT platforms, and other relevant integration technologies.

• Provide MDM architectural expertise within Oracle and/or Salesforce environments.

• Assess how MDM capabilities can enhance and extend Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications and Salesforce.

• Support the integration of master data across Oracle ERP, SCM, HCM, CX, and Salesforce applications.

• Counsel clients on build-vs-buy decisions as well as native versus third-party MDM capabilities.

• Act as a trusted advisor to client executives, enterprise architects, data leaders, and technical stakeholders.

• Facilitate discovery sessions, architecture workshops, requirements discussions, and solution design meetings.

• Transform business requirements into clear technical and architectural solutions.

• Present recommendations, architecture diagrams, roadmaps, and technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Mentor consultants and technical team members while providing architectural guidance throughout implementations.

• Contribute to Apex IT proposals, estimates, statements of work, and solution strategies as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in data architecture, enterprise data management, MDM, data governance, or a related field.

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in designing and architecting MDM solutions.

• Demonstrated experience leading enterprise-level MDM initiatives across various data domains and systems.

• Strong knowledge of Master Data Management, Data Governance, Data Quality, Data Modeling, Data Architecture, Data Stewardship, Matching & Survivorship, hierarchies and reference data, and data integration and synchronization.

• Experience in developing enterprise solution architectures, conceptual/logical data models, integration architectures, and technical roadmaps.

• Solid understanding of enterprise integration patterns, APIs, ETL/ELT, batch processing, and event-driven architectures.

• Experience working closely with business stakeholders and senior client leadership.

• Exceptional communication, presentation, problem-solving, and consulting abilities.

• Capability to lead complex initiatives independently while collaborating effectively with business and technical teams.

• Preferred: Familiarity with Informatica MDM, Reltio, Semarchy, SAP MDG, IBM InfoSphere, Oracle Enterprise Data Management / Customer Data Management, or Salesforce Data Cloud.

• Preferred: Strong experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications and/or Salesforce.

• Preferred: Experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) or Salesforce integration technologies.

• Preferred: Experience with cloud-based data platforms and contemporary data architecture.

• Preferred: Experience in implementing MDM across Customer, Product, Supplier, or Financial domains.

• Preferred: Experience with data migration and large-scale data transformation projects.

• Preferred: Relevant Oracle, Salesforce, MDM, data architecture, or cloud certifications.

• Preferred: Experience within a consulting or professional services environment.
