Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Conduct security-centric design evaluations for applications, systems, and networks within security, CDN, and cloud-computing products.

• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to address and resolve identified issues.

• Work alongside product development teams to make secure design and development decisions.

• Offer expert guidance and respond to inquiries regarding security practices.

• Act as a subject matter authority during incident responses and remediation efforts.

• Identify tools and methodologies to guarantee that products comply with security and regulatory standards.

• Incorporate responsible AI usage into workflows and secure the organization's internal applications and products.

• Strengthen the security of Akamai products by embedding security within system design and development processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in security architecture within a large, global setting, including the identification of architectural security flaws at the application, operating system, and network levels.

• Up-to-date understanding of the latest security technologies, attack methods, and vulnerabilities.

• Familiarity with addressing common vulnerabilities and suggesting tailored solutions based on application architecture and implementation.

• Comprehensive knowledge of security across cloud security, network security, cryptography, and related fields.

• Experience with threat modeling or hazard-analysis methodologies such as STAMP and STRIDE.

• Strong ability to communicate and collaborate with a global team.

• Proficiency in conveying complex security concepts to non-technical audiences.
