
Master Backend Developer – Tech Lead, Java, Go, AWS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and Go for high-availability and real-time applications.
• Define and enhance REST APIs, event-driven workflows, and real-time communication protocols.
• Construct and manage AWS cloud infrastructure utilizing Terraform and Kubernetes (EKS).
• Establish and uphold secure, repeatable GitLab CI/CD deployments across various environments.
• Implement observability, monitoring, and alerting systems to ensure reliability and performance.
• Work collaboratively with product, engineering, and other stakeholders in English.
• Provide technical guidance through code reviews, architectural decisions, mentoring, and best practices.
• Contribute to optimizing platform costs, capacity planning, and enhancing security measures.
• Deliver robust, scalable, secure, observable, and cost-effective backend and cloud solutions.
• Experience as a Master Backend Developer / Tech Lead / Senior Backend Engineer.
• Proficiency in Java 21 with Spring Boot 3.x.
• Experience with Go for real-time streaming and relay services.
• Competence in REST API design using Spring Web and OpenFeign.
• Knowledge of MongoDB / DocumentDB data modeling, Mongock migrations, and QueryDSL.
• Experience with Redis caching utilizing Spring Data Redis.
• Familiarity with WebSocket and real-time communication patterns.
• Expertise in Spring Security and OAuth2/OIDC with Cognito integration.
• Understanding of event-driven architectures using SNS, SQS, Spring Integration, and state machines.
• Experience with Terraform modules, service composition, and state management.
• Knowledge of AWS services: EKS, ECR, Lambda, VPC, IAM, S3, CloudFront, SSM, Secrets Manager, and API Gateway.
• Proficient in Kubernetes deployments, service accounts, IRSA, and namespaces.
• Familiarity with Docker multi-stage builds and container security best practices.
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines and multi-environment promotion.
• Understanding of networking concepts: NLB, DNS, security groups, and WAF.
• Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools such as CloudWatch, Dynatrace, Micrometer, and Prometheus.
• Familiarity with AWS Secrets Manager and SSM Parameter Store.
• Comfortable with daily communication in English and capable of clearly articulating complex technical concepts.
• Experience in Product Development Management (PDM) and team leadership is preferred.
• Nice-to-have: familiarity with SRS, FFmpeg, RTMP/SRT, AWS MediaLive, MediaPackage, Rust, SonarQube, AWS cost optimization, capacity planning, and Gradle.
