Marketing and Communications Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +6 more states.

📋 Description

• Engage in activities related to the internship program, including training sessions and special projects.

• Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications team as well as various departments throughout the organization.

• Assist in promoting AI awareness and integrating the Content Marketing Platform.

• Create both internal and external content such as letters, emails, bulletins, articles, and communications regarding fraud.

• Review and enhance templates for consumer letters and develop new letters aimed at supporting deposit growth.

• Attend assigned weekly or monthly line-of-business meetings, providing updates and communications on projects.

• Contribute to the bank-wide newsletter and internal culture communications.

• Produce and share internal spotlight articles on the company intranet.

• Aid in the monthly reporting for Corporate Communications.

• Participate in system incident calls and assist with activities related to the Business Continuity Plan.

• Assess and update the MarCom Business Continuity Plan and quarterly reports.

• Review the on-call assignment processes for the quarterly MarCom BCP.

• Gain insights into translation processes for foreign-language communications.

• Familiarize yourself with the communication project management platform.

• Assist in distributing external client communications to customer support representatives.

• Learn the scheduling procedures for external customer communications involving mail-houses.

• Attend meetings, training sessions, project work, and travel as required.


⛳️ Requirements

• Currently enrolled undergraduate student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business management, information systems, or a related area.

• Rising senior expected to graduate in 2028.

• Preferred GPA of 3.4 or higher.

• Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Copilot (AI).

• Strong writing capabilities.

• Skills in content development.

• Effective time-management abilities.

• Analytical skills.

• Willingness to learn.

• Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working efficiently under pressure.

• Completion of mandatory new hire compliance training and New Employee Orientation is required.

• Must be open and flexible to travel.

• Ability to accurately access and interpret information from computer screens, documents, and reports.

• Capability to work for extended periods using a computer.
