This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +4 more states.
• Propel TKDA’s engineering services within the mining sector across Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, and Utah.
• Formulate and execute business strategies to boost capabilities, raise service visibility, and secure contracts for surface mining projects.
• Align business opportunities with both annual and five-year strategic revenue and profit objectives.
• Work alongside civil, mechanical, electrical, and structural experts to promote cross-selling of services.
• Identify potential strategic clients and project opportunities.
• Monitor and respond to RFPs, and prepare for interviews and presentations.
• Collaborate with Project Managers on project scope, timelines, contracts, staffing, design standards, technical assessments, expenses, and budgets.
• Build relationships with technical and industry leaders through outreach, networking, committees, and associations.
• Occasionally assume the role of Project Manager or Project Engineer based on the size and technical/design needs of the project.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Mining, or Structural Engineering.
• Ten or more years of progressive experience in designing, commissioning, or managing mining, facility, and infrastructure projects.
• At least five years of experience in multi-disciplinary project management.
• A minimum of two years of experience in business development.
• Comprehensive understanding of mining operations, processing, and infrastructure.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with presentation abilities.
• Proficient in Revit and/or AutoCAD.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% overnight as required.
• Experience in preparing proposals, scopes, fee estimates, and capability presentations.
• Proven track record of securing project opportunities.
• Capability to mentor and develop professionals in mechanical engineering.
• Skill in applying quality review measures to ensure technical accuracy.
• Commitment to excellence in safety, training, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to travel locally, regionally, and nationally as necessary.
• Knowledge of relevant state/federal agency or governing authority design standards and deliverable requirements.
